Your first appointment will focus on discussing your initial needs, concerns, and expectations.  Dr. Zand will collect relevant background information, review all records, conduct a mental status exam on your child,  engage in an interactive observation of your child, and ask you to complete some forms.  She will then develop with you a personalized plan.
Our doctoral level psychologists conduct individualized, trauma-informed, comprehensive psychological evaluations that include tailored recommendations to support your child's social, emotional, and behavioral development.   We routinely assess for Autism Spectrum Disorders,  Attachment,  Developmental Delays, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders,  Intellectual Giftedness, and Social/ Emotional/Behavioral difficulties.  We have particular expertise in differential diagnosis and pre-adoption evaluations.  We tailor our assessments to your concerns, so we may change our test battery after we start working with and getting to know your child, rather than administering the same tests to each client.
